Graduation

April 7th, was a big day for us. It was Hunters first graduation. First graduation from Wee College. Wee College is a course that teaches young kids the bible, its a bit more intense then your average sunday school class. Its crazy the things I've learned by him attending. Its a 3 year class, and he is already looking forward to next year. 

Hunter was given invitations to give out to anyone he wanted to attend his graduation. He was very proud to give his invites to papa and nana, and of course he had to save one for himself. Daddy wasn't able to come because it was during his work day, but to our surprise he was able to show up for about an hour. 

It was a lot of fun watching him perform some of the songs and verses they learned, and all there colors that represent parts of the bible. He was so cute as he walked up to get his certificate. Next year graduation will be even bigger, he will even get to wear a cap and gown. 

A visit from Masayasu

We recently hosted our first exchange student. We had a lot of fun. His name is Masayasu, from Japan. He has a black belt in show karate. We enjoyed watching him practice, as he prepared his routine for his school program, he was to perform in before he went back home to Japan. He did a great job!! Masa and his friends also made us a form of miso soup. I'm not a fan, but all the guys ate it up when we had a barbecue at our place with a few other host families.

The kids loved Masa. He spent lots of time playing with them. Hunter constantly reminds us he misses him, and so does Nic. It was a great first experience and we are looking forward to hosting two chinese boys later this summer.

Hunters 1st School Project

Earlier last week, I was elbow deep in mounds of yellow playdough I was making for all the kids in Hunters Wee College class, not knowing why I was doing this. I found quite a surprise when I went to pick Hunter up from his class. He was so excited to show me his project. He built mountains out of playdough, and each mountain/color represented a part of the bible they are learning in class. He could then take it home and drive a car around the mountains.

Hunters 4th Birthday

Well it seems I've been a bit of a slacker. I find blogging is hard to do these days with two little boys running around the house all day. A family member reminded me the other day of my blog, and I guess you could say they've inspired me to revive it. I've been considering saying goodbye to blogging, but knowing I have a problem saying "No" to things, this confirms that I can't say Goodbye to this blog. So instead of trying to catch you up on what we've been up to, I will just catch you up on the most recent event in this household.

Hunter turned the Big 4 on January 8th. I was excited as this meant we were finally of age to register for Preschool, and sports, its a long wait when your born right in the beginning of the year. So that is what we did the other day. We registered for Preschool. I am so excited for this new journey were headed into this next year. But for now I will leave you with pics of Hunters Birthday. No big party this year, as I suspect next year there will be a big party for turning 5, and many new friends from Preschool to invite. Last Year for Hunters 3rd birthday he got to go to a movie theater for the first time. This year, we decided to take him bowling for his first time. We couldn't bring the entire family, as it would've been overwhelming for all of us, and poor Kayden would've been strapped down in the stroller. So Nic and I took Hunter on our own. It was lots of fun. Hunter recieved a pink ball, that literally weighed nothing, and he was excited because it matched his pink bubblegum ice cream I found for his birthday dessert. (Apparently there was no blue bubblegum ice cream to be found.) Hunter did a great job bowling, he then came home and opened presents with Kayden, and Papa & Nana. It was a fun day for Hunter.
