Potty Training

Potty Training, two words that make me a little stressed. So I've avoided it by not trying to potty train. I think its worked well so far. Hunter has decided hes ready to do it on his own. It may be a little backwards, and may take us a bit longer then the typical "stay at home all week until they've fully mastered it" training. But Hunter hasn't had an accident yet, and is doing so well. He still wears a diaper during nap times and night time, and getting him to take his diaper off and put his underwear on first thing in the morning is a struggle. But I'm pleased. I don't feel like I have to stop my life, or argue with him. He just wants to do it, Most of the time. He hasn't mastered #2 yet, (never thought I would post about #2), but its only been a few days. I know that day will come, and we will all rejoice. Now Kayden on the other hand, I'm a bit nervous for. Hes very different then Hunter in so many ways. I think I might have my work cut out for me when that "potty training" time comes.

I asked Hunter what he wanted on his new underwear as I realized we needed some that fit him, and I would need a big stack in case we went through several in one day. He immediately asked for Spiderman, so I rushed to good old Walmart and found the last set of Spiderman, and Hot Wheels. Boy was he excited to see his new underwear. He even modeled it for a picture. He'll be proud when hes older and I show it to his girlfriends :)

Hunter is really into making Funny Faces these days. So heres a few for you to enjoy. He is so proud of these pics, he just laughs so hard when he sees them!

A little behind

Welcome to our new blog. As you may notice it has been a while since I've updated. Who knew two kids could really keep a person busy. So this is my attempt to get back into the world of blogging.

The kids are growing up so fast. Hard to believe in a few short weeks Kayden will be 1. And Hunter is still 3, but growing fast. Sometimes we think he acts like hes 8, and other times we are reminded he is definitely only 3. And of course Nic and I are still getting older, nothing new there!

We had a different Easter then we've ever had before. I was really sick with pneumonia, two ear infections, sinus infection, and the list goes on. I'm happy to be on the mend, and finally getting some energy back to do things. We spent Easter at home just relaxing, and taking it easy as I still wasn't up to going anywhere yet. Hunter was able to color his eggs, and search for his basket. Luckily I managed to still pull off Easter for Hunter.
