Hunters 1st School Project

Earlier last week, I was elbow deep in mounds of yellow playdough I was making for all the kids in Hunters Wee College class, not knowing why I was doing this. I found quite a surprise when I went to pick Hunter up from his class. He was so excited to show me his project. He built mountains out of playdough, and each mountain/color represented a part of the bible they are learning in class. He could then take it home and drive a car around the mountains.

Our little Hunter is growing up!

Hunters 4th Birthday

Well it seems I've been a bit of a slacker. I find blogging is hard to do these days with two little boys running around the house all day. A family member reminded me the other day of my blog, and I guess you could say they've inspired me to revive it. I've been considering saying goodbye to blogging, but knowing I have a problem saying "No" to things, this confirms that I can't say Goodbye to this blog. So instead of trying to catch you up on what we've been up to, I will just catch you up on the most recent event in this household.

Hunter turned the Big 4 on January 8th. I was excited as this meant we were finally of age to register for Preschool, and sports, its a long wait when your born right in the beginning of the year. So that is what we did the other day. We registered for Preschool. I am so excited for this new journey were headed into this next year. But for now I will leave you with pics of Hunters Birthday. No big party this year, as I suspect next year there will be a big party for turning 5, and many new friends from Preschool to invite. Last Year for Hunters 3rd birthday he got to go to a movie theater for the first time. This year, we decided to take him bowling for his first time. We couldn't bring the entire family, as it would've been overwhelming for all of us, and poor Kayden would've been strapped down in the stroller. So Nic and I took Hunter on our own. It was lots of fun. Hunter recieved a pink ball, that literally weighed nothing, and he was excited because it matched his pink bubblegum ice cream I found for his birthday dessert. (Apparently there was no blue bubblegum ice cream to be found.) Hunter did a great job bowling, he then came home and opened presents with Kayden, and Papa & Nana. It was a fun day for Hunter.

Hunters First Day of Wee College

We are so excited that Hunter gets to attend Wee college. We weren't planning on registering Hunter until next year, which is when he is allowed to attend. Normally you would start at age 4, but because Hunter was born in January hes quite advanced, and was definitely ready for something like wee college. So the teacher allowed Hunter to join a year early, and today was his first day! He was so excited, he packed all his toys and his milk the night before in his backpack, and hung it on his coat hook, ready to go in the morning. Of course it had to be emptied out for his new bible and homework.
I was nervous as to how he would do, having to sit in a chair and follow instructions. It was hard for him at times, and he kept asking if he could get out of his chair and play but everytime I said No, he said ok. I'm sure today was a bit overwhelming. He is a month behind so we have some catching up to do at home, but I think hes going to fit in very well. He loved the puppet time, that was his favorite part.

Showing off his backpack, which we found out was too small, so off we go to find a bigger backpack!
The smile Hunter prefers to give the camera. At least he gave me a nice one first!

Monkeying Around

Kayden has definitely proven to be completely different from Hunter. Hunter has always been our careful, by the rules kind of boy, but Kayden, well here are some pictures of what we are now dealing with. Something new for Nic and I.
Little Monkey! He climbs on his chair, then atop his table, and then peers over the ledge above his head! And of course I always have to keep from laughing when I see him do this, I am supposed to discipline him, but its so hard sometimes, hes soo cute!

Kayden thinks this is the funniest thing hes ever done, he just laughs his head off while holding on!!

All about Bikes

Hunter and Papa have always loved going on bike rides together. Its really made me want to get on a bike again after so many years. Hunter got a new bike this summer and I'm using Carols old bike. I'm looking forward to the day that Hunter is ready to go out on his bike all by himself and we can go on bike rides together too!
We also found out Kayden loves bike rides just as much as Hunter.

Hunters new Bike. Thanks Nana & Papa!!

Brotherly Love!
Kayden not understanding why he had to wear this hat...

Now we understand, and we love bike rides.

Kadyen loved his first bike ride, and just sobbed after he had to get off.
